It's
a word created by Dorisanne and
Sharlande to describe the piece
of art that was created in 2003 to
enhance our worship
during the season of Epiphany. The
new word is a blending of
"epiphany" and
"carillon" of bells.
The idea came to us from Loeen
Irons, who saw a similar piece at a
retreat at Camp
Allen.
The
six-foot wooden cross, which fits in
a stand, was created by Rufus Spain.
On the cross, Joyce McKee hung 21
richly colored brocade ribbons with
bells, including some camel bells.
