In Memoriam

 Ronald R. Rouse, 68, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at his residence with his loving wife at his bedside. Ron maintained his sense of humor surrounded by his family during his lengthy illness with pancreatic cancer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 18 at Lake Shore Baptist Church, 5801 Bishop, with Rev. Sharlande Sledge, Rev. Brock Sanders, and Rev. Ramiro Pena officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Eddy Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Oak Crest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video honoring his life will be shown.

Ron was born January 29, 1938 in Denver, Col., to Harry and Nancy (Glass) Rouse. He was in the Marine Reserves, and then served in the Air Force from 1956-1963. He attended Baylor University and was an engineer specializing in aircraft modification and aerospace. He worked for Hercules Inc. for 35 years, then for L-3 Communications for 7 years before retiring. He was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Hope Reyna Rouse of Waco; two daughters, Tracy Brackeen and husband, Clint of Hewitt, and Rhonda Blackwell of Fort Worth; son, Terry W. Rouse of Waco; brother, Danny Rouse of Fort Worth; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; Mother-in-Law, Maria Reyna; many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Terry Rouse Jr., Jack Selander, Larry Stahr, Martin
Sauseda, Bert Reyna, and Phil Reyna. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick
Burnett, Bill Patton, Marshall Mabry, Forrest Reynolds, Don Harding, Jim Hooper, and Jim Hill.

The family especially thanks Dr. John Speckmiear and staff; April Ogles of Providence Hospice; and all of our Lake Shore Baptist Church family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or Meals on Wheels.
