Our
programs for children and
their parents are central to
our ministries at Lake
Shore. We operate and
support a full-time children's center, provide a
full range of educational
programs on Sundays, operate
music and mission programs on
Wednesday evenings and “Helping
Hands” and “Bridge
Builders” mission programs
during the summer, and
offer a monthly Family Self
Sufficiency program to the
Waco community. We hold
an annual
Bikeathon to raise money for
mission projects, and we have a
great Children's Choir program. |

separate budget and its own
staff of 18, the center serves
families with children 6 weeks
old thru 5 years, full-time.
There is also an summer program
for children through sixth

Our mission budget includes scholarships for this Center.

Spring Retreat |
Elementary
age children discover their
relationships to God by identifying
with the people, events, and teachings
of Scripture. As the teachers role
model the Christian life, boys and
girls explore the meaning of
Christ's example for their own lives
and become more included in the life
of the congregation.
This
year our school children begin a
new curriculum series entitled
Gather ’Round. First-third
graders - Room 201 - Becca
Sharpless, Tom Charlton, &
Joleen Eiklenborg

Wednesday Evening Programs
Following church supper,
school-aged children gather
for an evening of fun,
friendship, and learning. The
Children’s Choir learns about
worship, leadership, music,
and teamwork. In missions
children learn about different
cultures and creative ways to
show God’s love through
stories, conversation, and
hands-on activities. Twos
through kindergarteners go to
room 107 for a mission story
and activities with Barb
Francis (6:15-6:45 p.m.) using
a centers-based curriculum
from the CBF. Then Rachel
Sciretti leads the children in
music activities. |
